Biodata of Ambassador H.E. Mr. Milan Raj Tuladhar

His Excellency Mr. Milan Raj Tuladhar assumed his responsibilities as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Russian Federation on 5 August 2022. Before taking over as the Ambassador of Nepal to the Russian Federation, he served as the Foreign Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister of Nepal from 6 February to 29 August 2011.

Prior to serving in the Office of the Prime Minister (PMO), he was the Director of Administration and Finance at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) from 1993 to December 2010. From 1983 to 1993, he was the Head of Financial Management in the same organization.  During the period of 1976 to 1983, he worked as an independent auditor and was responsible for the external audits and reviews of some of important organisations of Nepal.  During the period of 1972 to 1975, he was the headmaster of Kshamawati High School in Dolakha district of Nepal.

During his long career at ICIMOD and other organisations, he led and participated in many national, regional, and international meetings. He also served in the board of directors of various organisations including Royal Nepal Airlines and Dairy Development Corporation. In course of these associations, he has taken deep interest and participated in debates on the issues of sustainable development, environment and climate change and good governance.

He has completed Master’s degree in Management, received trainings on relevant subjects including negotiating skills, conflict management. He has been taking keen interest in cultural studies, in particular reference to the Buddhist culture. During the period from 2011 to 2022, he was involved in many socio- cultural and educational activities including reconstruction of school buildings damaged by mega-earthquake of Nepal in 2015

H.E. Mr. Tuladhar is married to Mrs. Ajeeta Tuladhar, and they have two sons.
